Erg Chegaga is one of the most spectacular dune landscapes in Morocco, and it lies about 80 km from Foum Zguid. By 4×4 the way there takes two to three hours, depending on the track and how often you stop to look.
This is our shortest journey and the best first taste: you leave in the afternoon, ride a dromedary into the dunes for sunset, share a Moroccan dinner by the fire, sleep in an equipped tent and are back in Foum Zguid before lunch.
Highlights
- Private 4×4 and a local driver-guide
